Hello Business and Community Partners

Fall is here and it is time to start thinking about and planning this year’s Main Street Trick or Treat and Scarecrow Contest. Details on deadlines, how to participate and contact information can be found below.

Main Street Trick or Treat

When: Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 3:00 – 5:00*
Where: participating businesses along Main Street
How: businesses wishing to participate should contact Caroline at the library by October 20 if they want to be included in our marketing and participating businesses list.
If your business would like to participate and wants a space on Main Street you can reserve a space under the old bank drive-thru at the library.
*we will keep this time for another year but if you have feedback for future please let us know

Scarecrow Contest

When: Scarecrows need to be up by 10 am on October 30
That is also the deadline to send a photo of your scarecrow to Caroline at the library.
How: businesses can participate by putting up a scarecrow or by providing a home for a scarecrow made in partnership with another organization.
Voting will take place on Facebook and in person at the library from 3 pm on October 31 through 12 noon on November 3. Winners will be contacted and then announced on Facebook the afternoon of November 3, to give us time to tally both online and in person votes.
