  The Language Assistance Plan serves to help ensure access to court services for persons with limited English proficiency (LEP). It also covers interpreter services to deaf and hard of hearing persons.
• Pierce County Legal Clinic
  Meets the 4th Wednesday of every month from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the EOC room of the Courthouse Annex. You may call 715-262-5551 to speak to an attorney during these times. You may leave a message if you are unable to connect during this time. Volunteer attorneys will be on hand by phone to answer general questions and provide basic information in the following areas: employment law, family law, landlord/tenant and small claims, criminal/traffic, estate planning/elder law/probate, real estate, business law, and debtor/creditor law. The clinics are sponsored by the St. Croix Valley Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin Volunteer Lawyer Program. Wisconsin Judicare – is a non-profit law firm dedicated to providing equal access to justice for northern Wisconsin residents. Located on the 2nd floor of the US Bank Building in downtown Wausau, Wisconsin Judicare, Inc., is the civil legal service provider for Wisconsin’s northern 33 counties and 11 federally recognized Indian tribes. From its inception, Wisconsin Judicare has emphasized the utilization of the private bar to represent low-income persons in conjunction with on-staff attorneys.

Wisconsin Free Legal Answers – Answer a few questions to see if you qualify to use this service, ask volunteer attorneys a specific question about your civil legal issue, receive an email telling you when your question receives a response and see the response to your question; ask more questions.

Wisconsin Court System eFile Forms  – provides a guide to divorce and legal separation in Wisconsin and takes you through a series of questions, filling in most of the forms necessary for divorce and legal separation, including maintenance (alimony), child support, legal custody and physical placement, and property division. (It does not have forms or instructions for paternity actions, annulment, or grandparent visitation.) Use the new case forms assistant to fill out forms for a brand new divorce or legal separation case. Use the existing case forms assistant to fill out forms for a case that already has a case number.

Wisconsin Circuit Court Access – provides access to certain public records of the Wisconsin circuit courts. The information displayed is an exact copy of the case information entered into the circuit court case management system by court staff in the counties where the case files are located. The court record summaries viewed here are all public records under Wisconsin open records law.
