Summer Happenings for All ages!

We are excited to partner with Beanstack again this year to offer an online reading and activity program for ALL ages!
June 27th – August 5th

  • Read, complete activities, earn badges and rewards, as well as entries to win gift baskets, Amazon gift cards, and Chamber Bucks good at local businesses!
  • Access our summer challenge online at ellsworthlibrary.beanstack.org or through the Beanstack Tracker App on your mobile devices.
  • If you prefer you can participate using a paper log. Paper logs can be picked up at the library.
  • Registration begins June 22. Paper logs due by August 10.

  • Click Register an Individual or Family
  • Follow the prompts to get yourself and your family members registered for the Summer Reading Challenges
  • Start logging your reading and completing activities
  • Earn badges to motivate and put toward prizes

Using the Beanstack Tracker App

  • Download the Beanstack app (available through the App Store or Play Store)
  • Select Get Started
  • Does your library already use Beanstack? Select Yup!
  • Type in Ellsworth Public Library
  • Select Don’t Have an Account? Sign Up at the bottom of the screen.
  • Follow the prompts to get yourself and your family members registered for the Summer Reading Challenges
  • Start logging your reading and completing activities
  • Earn badges to challenge yourself, to win prizes, and to enter drawings

Summer Challenges by Age Group

0-5    Log reading by number of books you read or have read to you. Earn a prize from the Treasure Box when you reach 25, 50, and 75 books. Receive a free book when you reach 70 and 100 books. Each completed activity badge earns you entries to win a Summer Gift Basket.

6-11    Log reading by number of minutes you read.  For each 60 minutes or one hour read, you earn a bead for your Oceans of Possibilities chain. Earn a prize from the Treasure Box when you reach 150, 450, 750 and 1,050 minutes. Receive a free book when you reach 600 and 1,200 minutes. Each completed activity badge also earns you additional entries to win a Summer Gift Basket.

12-18   Log reading by number of minutes you read. Receive a free book and an entry to win one of the three Amazon gift cards when you have completed 600 minutes of reading. Earn another entry when you reach 900 and 1,200 minutes. Each completed activity badge also earns you additional entries to win an Amazon gift card.

19+    Log reading by number of minutes you read. Earn an entry to win one of five $25 Ellsworth Bucks certificates when you have read 600, 900 and 1,200 minutes. Each completed activity badge also earns you additional entries to win Ellsworth Bucks certificates.

Join us Wednesday afternoons for interactive shows at Summit Park. Geared toward kids and families. All are welcome!  (rain location: Zion Covenant Church)

Grow to Share Garden Programs

Meet us at Grow to Share for a morning of stories and exploring the gardens. Help us plant, learn about Grow to Share’s mission and enjoy time together outdoors. Although this program is focused on children and families, we invite everyone to join us to learn about this local resource.

Doodle Club (ages 9-12)

Doodle Club is a special hour of creativity each month.  Learn drawing techniques, experiment with animation and comics, talk about books, do some creative writing and enjoy a snack! As a group, we will pick other creative topics to explore.

Join computer engineer, Mike Benoy and friends, for this monthly program that will explore S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, and math) with hands-on projects. Be prepared to get messy! Registration required. Call the library at 715-273-3209 to register.

Lego in the Park (all ages)
