Summer Happenings for All Ages!

We are excited to partner with Beanstack again this year to offer an online reading and activity program for ALL ages!
June 14th – August 6th (Registration begins June 7th)

  • Have fun reading, completing activities, earning badges and rewards, as well as entering drawings for gift baskets, gift cards, and Chamber Bucks!
  • Our summer challenge may be accessed online at ellsworthlibrary.beanstack.org  or through the Beanstack Tracker App on your mobile devices.
  • If you do not have access online or through a mobile device, or would like to participate offline, you may participate using a paper log. Please call the library at 715-273-3209 to register. Paper Logs can be found on the Grab and Go Cart in the back hallway of the library.

  • Follow the prompts to get yourself and your family members registered for 2020 Summer Reading Challenges
  • Start logging your reading and completing activities
  • Earn badges to motivate and put toward prizes

Using the Beanstack Tracker App

  • Download the Beanstack app (available through the App Store or Play Store)
  • Select Get Started
  • Does your library already use Beanstack? Select Yup!
  • Type in Ellsworth Public Library
  • Select Don’t Have an Account? Sign Up at the bottom of the screen.
  • Follow the prompts to get yourself and your family members register for the 2020 Summer Reading Challenges
  • Start logging your reading and completing activities
  • Earn badges to motivate and to put toward prizes

Summer Challenges by Age Group

0-11    Log reading by number of books you read or have read to you. (If you are a chapter book reader log 1 book for each 20 pages you read.) Earn a reading badge and something from the Summer Fun Cart for every 10 books. Reach 70 books and you earn a free book. Also each earned activity badge and any reading badge beyond 70 books, earns you extra entries into the Summer Gift Basket Drawing.

12-18    Log reading by number of minutes. Earn a reading badge for every hour of reading. Each earned reading badge rewards you with an entry to win an amazon gift card. Also, each earned activity badge and any reading badge beyond 7 hours, earns you additional entries into the gift card drawings.

19+     Log reading by number of minutes. Earn a reading badge for every hour of reading. Each earned reading badge rewards you with an entry to win Ellsworth Chamber Bucks. Also, each earned activity badge and any reading badge beyond 7 hours, earns you additional entries into the Chamber Bucks drawings.

Join us for an afternoon of interactive, live animal shows. Geared toward kids and families, but fun for all!

June 23 – The Creature Teacher: The World of Reptiles and Amphibians

July 7 – Raptors with Carpenter Nature Center

July 21 – Sustainable Safari Wildlife Show

Storytime in the Park with Ms. Caroline
(kids of all ages)

Listen to stories, sing songs, and rhyme during afternoon, open swim breaks.

Play and create LEGO masterpieces with your friends.

Music, games and activities provided by the library. Farmers’ Market vendors will be set up, and food for purchase will be available from a variety of food truck vendors.

Summer Fun Cart
Visit our Summer Fun Cart for Grab and Go Activity Kits and other summer fun. Free and available to all. New activities and items added periodically throughout each month. Please take only one per person per visit. Share pictures of what you make or of yourself enjoying the kits from the cart at eplstaff@ellsworthlibrary.org.

Let’s gather together to share our love of books, conversation, and community. Copies are available at the library. (We’ll move back to Zoom in inclement weather)
