Programs

Morning Book Club

Join our adult book club held the second Thursday of the month at 10:30 a.m. in the lower level of the library building.  All books are available through the Ellsworth Public Library. There is no cost to attend. We read a variety of genres and have informal discussion. Call the library at 715.273.3209 for more information and a list of books for the season.

Reading Programs

Our adult patrons enjoy our winter and summer reading programs.  Each program encourages adults to read or listen to books from our library.  Each program has a fun theme and winning fabulous prizes is part of the fun!

Outreach

The library sponsors a year-round outreach program taking books, audiobooks and special requests to the Ellsworth Care Center and to Preferred Senior Living in Ellsworth.  We also reach out to the schools with sponsored entertainment and educational programs, including mentoring high school students in the Childcare class.

We love to participate in community events including the Cheese Curd Festival, the Ellsworth Fire Department Community Parade, and Pumpkin in the Park.

Our staff would be happy to speak to any community groups about library-related topics.  Please call the library at 715.273.3209 if interested.

Art Shows

Our library is proud to display artwork from the Ellsworth School District twice a year. The High School Art Department has a show each November and the K-12 Art Department has an exhibit every April in celebration of Youth Art Month. Each show is a month in length and displays 2-D and 3-D student artwork.

Local artists frequently display their art throughout the year at the library.  A display of varied projects from the Pierce County Fair is in September.  Don't forget about our Mystery Quilt Show in March. Stop in to see what wonderful artists we have in the Ellsworth area.

Tech Time

Tech time is held once a month, either the first Thursday from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm or the second Monday from 10:30 am-12:00 pm.  The dates and times alternate every other month.    Barb will help you learn "how to" on any electronic device including tablets, e-readers, cell phones, and laptops.  You will receive one-on-one help by signing up for a 30 minute spot.  Stop in or give us a call at 715.273.3209 to reserve a time.  Check our website calendar for the day and time for each month at www.ellsworthlibrary.org.
